New housing development coming to Cleveland’s west side

The Brevier Townhomes are going before the Cleveland Planning Commission next week.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A new housing development is set to bring several new townhomes and apartments to Cleveland’s Tremont neighborhood.

Plans for Brevier Townhomes are set to go before the Cleveland Planning Commission for schematic design approval this Friday. A presentation sent to the commission shows a plan to create five three-bedroom townhomes on empty lots on the south side of Brevier Avenue, near Lincoln Park.

The homes will each have roughly 1.700 square feet of living space and will also feature a rooftop deck and a two-car garage. This phase of the project is projected to cost $1.175 million.

The project also calls for the construction of an apartment building on the north side of Brevier, which would feature eight to 10 units. Information sent to the Planning Commission showed that the design for the apartments has not yet been finalized and will be submitted for review at a later date.

There will be a combined 24 parking spaces for the townhomes and apartment building, along with street parking, according to the presentation.
