Erie County PA recycling program will take your electronics, paints


You know all those cans of dried paints and outdated electronics that you’ve been meaning to dispose of? The Erie County Recycling Program has a solution.

The program sponsors household hazardous waste and electronics collection events throughout the year, open to all Erie County residents. The collections are operated by Noble Environmental Specialty Recycling.

You’ll pay a disposal fee of 50 cents per pound of e-waste and household hazardous waste.

  • Air conditioners
  • Microwaves
  • Mobile phones and tablets
  • Phones and phone equipment
  • Laptop and desktop computers
  • Computer mice, keyboards, monitors
  • Modems
  • Hard drives
  • Copiers, fax machines, printers
  • Electric typewriters
  • CD players and cassette players
  • Stereos, speakers and radios

What household hazardous waste is accepted?

  • Antifreeze
  • Pesticides
  • Corrosive/caustics
  • Chlorine products
  • Flammable products
  • Used oil
  • Lead acid batteries
  • Rechargeable batteries
  • Florescent bulbs
  • Oil-based and latex paints
  • Paint products/turpentine
  • Mercury-containing devices
