Don’t miss Louisiana’s number one farmer’s market


BOSSIER CITY, La. (KTAL/KMSS)—The Number 1 Farmers Market in Louisiana, Bossier City Farmers Market (BCFM), will return next Saturday with more than 75 weekly vendors.

The Market is home to farmers and growers with fresh foods, food trucks, baked goods, salsa, honey, and more.


According to the American Farmland Trust and the Farmers Market Coalition, the BCFM is the first and only Farmers’ Market of its kind in the entire area.

The leashed pet-friendly farmers market was crowned 1st in Louisiana, 3rd in the Southeast, and 13th nationwide by the America’s Farmers Market Celebration in 2023.

According to their news release, they will feature a new indoor customer seating area inside the mall this year and new vendors joining weekly.

BCFM highlights that it opens April 6th and will run every Saturday from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. through November.

According to its website, the Market has space for up to 200 vendors, and more than 75 vendors have already signed up.

They support local small businesses in Bossier City, Shreveport, and surrounding Northern Louisiana areas.

BCFM has an impressive list of items, from homemade goods to crafts:

  • Cajun, Cuban and Venezuelan cuisine,
  • honey
  • BBQ, peppers,
  • crepes,
  • handmade soap,
  • crafts,
  • tamales,
  • art,
  • plants,
  • gulf shrimp,
  • seasoning blends and
  • Kids activities and much more.

BCFM is located at 2950 E. Texas St. on the south side of Pierre Bossier Mall behind Starbucks.
