Tennessee Home Where Country Star Naomi Judd Died Still Needs a Renter for $15K a Month

The house where country icon Naomi Judd died two years ago is back on the market as a rental, listed for $15,000 a month.

The Franklin, TN, property, which her family sold last summer, had been listed for rent by the new owners last year. The place didn’t attract any takers, though

Now, it’s resurfaced for the same rental price. This nearly 7,800-square-foot home with a sad past has four bedrooms, six baths, and a striking design inside and out.

Ashley Judd, one of Naomi’s daughters, owns a home next door. That house is for rent, too, for $9,200 a month.

Here’s a look inside Naomi’s  last residence.

Situated about 30 miles south of Nashville, the grand house is a mix of traditional architecture and Craftsman details. Exposed beams, coffered ceilings, and beautiful woodwork and flooring enhance the home’s warmth and charm. Many rooms have walls and ceilings covered in colorful wallpaper.

An inviting porch runs along part of the front flank, and a large porte-cochère sits off to one side, ready for arriving guests and their vehicles. High ceilings and many windows usher in abundant natural light.

The white-on-white kitchen has an L-shaped island, skylights, and stainless-steel appliances. Several fireplaces grace the spacious rooms. One of these spots, the enormous entertaining room, could double as a ballroom or small wedding venue. This area is conveniently outfitted with a built-in bar, fridge, and ice maker.

Custom baths, grassy lawns, and a two-car garage round out the listing.

The gated property is part of the Leipers Fork community, a charming village that has long attracted musicians and artists.

Judd and her other daughter, Wynonna Judd, formed The Judds country duo in the 1980s. They were wildly successful, selling more than 20 million albums and earning five Grammys.

The Judd family has been very open about Naomi’s struggle with mental illness and her subsequent suicide. One day after her death, The Judds were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in a previously planned ceremony.
