49″ Samsung Odyssey OLED G9: The Best Ultra-Wide Gaming Monitor

Samsung OLED G9 G95SC 49″ 5120×1440 0.3ms 240Hz Gaming Monitor

This is the lowest price we’ve ever seen and beats out the price we saw on Amazon Prime Day by $100. If you’re looking for the best ultra-wide monitor that money can buy, there’s no need to look elsewhere. The Odyssey OLED G9 replaces the Neo G9 as Samsung’s latest and greatest flagship gaming monitor. The most noticeable upgrade from the Neo G9 is the quantum dot OLED panel. The previous gen Neo G9 utilized a Mini-LED panel, which was already a step above the IPS panels you’d find in most other high-end gaming monitors. OLEDs, however, blow away any other type of monitor in terms of HDR, black levels and color rendition. Samsung’s QD OLED panel is even better. Quantum dot technology produces higher peak brightness levels compared to traditional OLED TVs without losing the color accuracy and range and wide viewing angles that OLEDs are known for.

27″ Acer Nitro 1440p 0.5ms 180Hz IPS Gaming Monitor for $199.99

Acer Nitro XV271U 27″ 2560×1440 0.5ms 180Hz IPS Gaming Monitor

The Acer Nitro XV271U is an excellent gaming monitor at a very respectable price point. This 27″ 2560×1440 monitor boasts a blazing fast 0.5ms response time, up to 180Hz refresh rate using the DisplayPort (144Hz via HDMI), and an IPS panel that offers wide viewing angles and great color reproduction (95% DCI-P3 color space). It officially supports AMD FreeSync Premium, but it has also proven to be NVIDIA G-SYNC “compatible”. You’ll be hard pressed to find a better 27″ monitor for the price.

Alienware m17 17″ AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX RTX 3070 Ti Laptop for $1199.99

Alienware m17 R5 17″ AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX RTX 3070 Ti Gaming Laptop with 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD

The Alienware m17 R5 laptop features a 17″ 1080p 480Hz G-SYNC IPS display, AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX CPU, GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GPU, 16GB of DDR5-4800MHz RAM, and 1TB SSD. The AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX CPU boasts a max turbo clock of .4.9GHz with 8 cores, 16 threads, and a 20MB cache. The GeForce RTX 3070 Ti provides plenty of muscle on the GPU front. Among the RTX 30 series mobile cards, it’s only slightly less powerful than the RTX 3080. Compared to desktop variants, it’s roughly comparable to the RTX 3060. It’s capable of running any game out there on the display’s native 1080p resolution and at over 60fps, which is nice because the display is capable of refresh rates of up to 480Hz and, fortunately, is G-SYNC certified.

WD EasyStore 18TB USB 3.0 External Hard Drive for $249.99

Still prefer to keep your storage local? Then you will want the biggest hard drive you can afford the get the best price per TB. This WD EasyStore 18TB hard drive is currently only $250 at Best Buy. That comes out to only $13.89 per terabyte of storage. Compared to an SSD that might cost upwards of $100 for the same amount of storage, this is a straight up steal. SSDs might be faster but for data storage, speed is of very low priority.

New Release: Alienware Aurora R16 Gaming PC from $1749.99

New Release: Alienware Aurora R16 Liquid Cooled Intel Core i7 RTX 4070 and RTX 4070 Ti Gaming PCs Starting From $1749.99

Dell just recently put up its new 2023 Alienware Aurora R16 for sale on its site. The facelift is definitely a departure from the familiar Aurora styling we’ve seen for the past several years. The new R16 chassis is 40% smaller in volume compared to previous iterations. That’s a huge size reduction. And yet, Dell states that cooling has improved without a drop in performance. The Aurora R16 does feature a proven airflow design, with large vents on the side panels and a 120mm rear fan drawing air in and a generously sized 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler pushing air out through the top. This new design allows for better airflow to the GPU as well. Dell also claims that this new chassis will run quieter. If they can keep the ambient temps and the components cooler, than that makes sense. Much of PC system noise is due to thermo-controlled fans ramping up as the components heat up.

Alienware Aurora RTX 4090 Gaming PC for $2999.99

Alienware Aurora R15 Cryo-Tech Liquid Cooled AMD Ryzen 9 7950X RTX 4090 Gaming PC with 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD

This is the best price right now for an RTX 4090 equipped Alienware gaming PC. The RTX 4090 is far and away the most powerful video card you can get right now, leaving competitors like AMD’s latest Radeon RX 7900 XTX in the dust. It’s also ridiculously more powerful than any of the RTX 30 series cards: it’s up to 90% faster than the 3080 Ti. The 4090 is the one and only solution to ray-traced 4K gaming at consistent 60+fps. If you’re still not convinced, check out our RTX 4090 review.

Alienware m16 RTX 4080 Gaming Laptop for $2299.99

Alienware m16 16″ 2560×1600 (QHD+) AMD Ryzen 9 7845HX RTX 4080 Gaming Laptop with 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD

This is the lowest price we’ve seen for the newest Alienware m16 gaming laptop equipped with an RTX 4080 GPU. The mobile RTX 4080 is a ridiculously fast mobile GPU; it absolutely crushes any RTX 30 series mobile GPU. In fact, it’s as powerful as an RTX 3080 desktop GPU, which is incredible considering the RTX 3080 desktop GPU is still a very relevant card with the chops to run most games at 4K at 60+fps. It’s paired with the latest and greatest AMD Ryzen 9 7845HX CPU and a whopping 32GB of RAM.

4-Pack Apple AirTags for $84.99

Amazon is currently offering a four pack of Apple AirTags keyfinders for only $84.99. You’re essentially paying only $21.25 per keyfinder. That’s 15% off MSRP and better than Amazon Prime Day. The Apple Airtag is a small coin shaped device that you can put in your wallet or attach to your phones, keys, remote, or anything small enough to be easily misplaced. It works as a little WiFi keyfinder that helps you locate your lost objects by pinging the exact location to your iPhone. The AirTag uses Bluetooth 5.0 to pinpoint a general location of your lost item. However, if your iPhone model has a U1 chip with Ultra Wideband, there is a “Precision Finding” mode that can give you a numerical distance as well as a directional pointer when your lost item is in range. It’s a pretty awesome piece of tech that works a lot better than “it’s here somewhere”.
