BUT A NEW SURVEY RELEASED TODAY BY THE NFL PLAYERS ASSOCIATION PAINTS A VERY DIFFERENT PICTURE OF HOW THE ORGANIZATION IS RUN, RANKING THE STEELERS 28TH OF THE 32 TEAMS. THE SURVEY IS BROKEN DOWN INTO CATEGORIES. MIKE TOMLIN GETS AN A GRADE FROM HIS PLAYERS. THE WEIGHT ROOM ON THE SOUTH SIDE GETS A C PLAYERS SAYING THAT THEY COULD HAVE BETTER EQUIPMENT IF THEY TRAINED OFF SITE. THE TRAINING ROOM GETS A D PLUS PLAYERS. For decades, the “Steeler Way” has been the gold standard in the National Football League, but a new survey released today by the NFL Players Association paints a very different picture of how the organization is run, ranking the Steelers 28th of the 32 teams. The survey is broken down into categories. Mike Tomlin gets an “A” grade from his players. The weight room on the South Side gets a “C,” with players saying they could have better equipment if they trained off-site. The training room gets a “D+.” Players say they need more access to individual care. Now, the scathing grades: Steeler players give team owner Art Rooney II an “F,” saying he won’t invest in team facilities.And for the treatment of families, the Steelers get an “F-.” Players say the team doesn’t accommodate player families on game day.
