The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has announced an increase in the price of gold in the country’s market. The price of one ‘bhori’ (11.664 grams), considered of the best quality, has been increased to 1750 Bangladeshi Taka. The price of 22-carat gold per bhori is now 1,11,441 Bangladeshi Taka, which was previously 1,09,291 Taka.

This information was disclosed in a notice issued by Masudur Rahman Sowd, the chairman of the permanent committee for price determination and monitoring at BAJUS, on Saturday (23rd December). It has been announced that this will be effective from Sunday (24th December) by the Bangladesh Jewelers Association

Today’s gold prices in Bangladesh:

  • 18-carat gold per bhori: 90,863 Taka (current). Previously it was 89,404 Taka. The price has increased by 1,459 Taka per bhori.
  • 21-carat gold per bhori: 1,06,026 Taka (current). Previously it was 1,04,334 Taka. The price has increased by 1,692 Taka per bhori.
  • 22-carat gold per bhori (11.664 grams): 1,11,041 Taka (current). Previously it was 1,09,291 Taka. The price has increased by 1,750 Taka per bhori.
  • Traditional method gold per bhori: 75,699 Taka (current). Previously it was 74,533 Taka. The price has increased by 1,166 Taka per bhori.
