‘The swamp’s gonna strike back’: Ramaswamy wants Elon Musk for VP in case of assassination

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy said that he wants Elon Musk as his vice president in case “the swamp” removes him from office by assassination or other means.

At a campaign event at the Pizza Ranch in Sibley, Iowa, the candidate was asked if he had a list of potential vice presidential running mates.

“Elon Musk, I think, would be a great vice president, actually,” Ramaswamy replied, noting that he could not choose Musk because he is not a natural-born citizen.

“Somebody who can cut through bureaucracy. Somebody who’s competent. And right now, you’ve got a vice president in Kamala Harris who, she’s in charge of AI policy for the U.S. She can’t spell AI.”

“I think that that’s going to be a top job, is somebody who could bring the same skill set that I’m describing for you,” he continued. “Should something happen to me, that’s the top job you should actually look for.”

Ramaswamy suggested that deep state forces would try to prevent him from carrying out his presidency.

“You strike the swamp, the swamp’s going to strike back,” he warned. “So they’re not going to let Trump come anywhere near the White House.”

“But once they see what I’m bringing to Washington, D.C., they’re not going to like my presence there very much either,” Ramaswamy added. “It’s going to have to be somebody who could do the same job that I’m looking to do.”

The presidential candidate has previously confirmed that he would employ Musk as an adviser if elected.
