Nobody found after Sacramento police search McDonald’s for possible armed suspect


The Sacramento Police Department said that nobody was found after officers searched a McDonald’s for a potentially armed suspect. Around 6:30 p.m. Friday police said they were trying to detain a person barricaded inside the McDonald’s located at 6370 Mack Road and that the building had been evacuated. Sacramento Police said just after 4:25 p.m., officers responded to “a suspicious circumstance involving a possibly armed individual.”Mack Road was temporarily closed off near McDonald’s but LiveCopter 3 was flying over the scene at Valley Mack Plaza as the road began to open back up.It is not yet known what led police to believe that there was an armed subject inside the restaurant.
